Arrived, recovered, and reunited at last! El Cuatro Muerte is on the loose!
Reunited and it feels so good! (and so shiny) Koh Samui has been wonderful but went by way too fast! Our jet lag has just lessened it's nauseating grip. Koh samui has been filled with Russians, rainstorms, rockets. Celebrating the arrival of 2011 on the beach was magical. Fireworks exploding overhead and constellations of paper lanterns floating away into the skies of a New Year.
Meanwhile, the beach days have been lovely as well. Lamai beach is apparently the favorite of the Eastern Europe set, so we have seen many blonde naked children frolicking in the surf, along with a fare share of topless bathers, an unfortunate incident with an elderly gent in a g string, and schnitzel on a menu at a beach bar. On the upside, we much enjoyed a jean short print on a spandex suit. Hot! The sun and waves have been yummy and have helped soothe the jetlag woes for kb and devin. We've been eating a lot of Thai food-- hitting the spot. Last night we had killer ribs in Bophut. We ate some gelatinous/coconut dessert which I believe is called Farin (sp). Many alley cats and beach dogs have been met, including little puppy Pepsi who tried to steal our sandals... The little scamp! Tomorrow we head to India. Expected this week: Delhi - Agra - taj mahal - veg food...and many other unknown delights! With hope and a little luck - maybe a quick prayer to John Denver - our travel day will be blessed by on time flights and happy connections. Sent from el cuatro muerte in Thailand.
